What is the most spoiled thing a child could do that would make you want to just smack them as hard as possible?
(I actually need this)
Answer:
one thing is them wanting to buy something expensive or what ever they want if they dont get what they want they would cry or say things a child should not say
Explanation:
Parents expect temper tantrums from 2- and 3-year-olds. But angry outbursts don't always stop after the toddler years. Older kids sometimes have trouble handling anger and frustration too.
Some kids only lose their cool once in a while, but others seem to have a harder time when things don't go their way. Kids who tend to have strong reactions by nature will need more help from parents to manage their tempers.
Controlling outbursts can be hard for kids — and helping them learn to do so is a tough job for the parents who love them. Try to be patient and positive, and know that these skills take time to develop and that just about every child can improve with the right coaching.
Think about a webpage, advertisement, or video, and identity all the parts in its construction. How are the parts put together and what is the goal of the creator?
Answer:
Most of the adverts that I saw had 5 basic parts.
Cheers
These parts are:
The Headline: Most the headlines were very catchy. For example, you'd find something like "Make $200 every week" "for almost doing nothing". This was created to draw the reader in. Of course one would find out that in most cases (98%) there was more to the pitch; The Sub-headline: To like in the ad referenced above, the major Headline was "Make $200 every week" Then the sub-headline was "for almost doing nothing."Benefits: This section of the Ad is concerned with highlighting the benefits of the service being sold. In some cases, the ads are images, videos, logo and or other branding showing the product or service. This helps to stimulate the decision of the viewer towards the ultimate goal which is a Call To Action.Call to action is the part of the ads where the seller expects that the viewer will go ahead and make a buying decision. All the five parts put together seeks to fulfil the goal of the creator which is to ensure that there is a sale or that at least, significant interest is registered in the mind of the viewer.Cheers

Read the passage from "By the Waters of Babylon." How shall I tell what I saw? There was no smell of man left, on stone or metal. Nor were there many trees in that wilderness of stone. There are many pigeons, nesting and dropping in the towers—the gods must have loved them, or, perhaps, they used them for sacrifices. There are wild cats that roam the god-roads, green-eyed, unafraid of man. At night they wail like demons but they are not demons. The wild dogs are more dangerous, for they hunt in a pack, but them I did not meet till later. Everywhere there are the carved stones, carved with magical numbers or words. How do details such as "stone or metal," "many pigeons," "towers," and "wild cats that roam the god-roads" help establish setting?
This question is missing the answer choices. I have found the complete question online. Since the passage is the same, I will omit it:
How do details such as "stone or metal,” "many pigeons,” "towers,” and "wild cats that roam the god-roads” help establish setting?
A. They create a feeling of a small mythical kingdom.
B. They build an atmosphere of a preindustrial society.
C. They give the sense that nature has taken over a once-urban area.
D. They develop the feeling of an ancient village of a polytheistic culture.
Answer:
Details such as "stone or metal,” "many pigeons,” "towers,” and "wild cats that roam the god-roads” help establish setting because:
C. They give the sense that nature has taken over a once-urban area.
Explanation:
The narrator in the short story "By the Waters of Babylon," by Vincent Benét, lives in a futuristic setting where humankind seems to have almost destroyed itself due to the harmful use of technology and weapons. John, the narrator, is a priest who enters what once was New York city, a forbidden place. The humans that exist now are afraid of metal, seeing it as cursed, and of cities, where they think gods once lived.
In the passage we are analyzing here, details such as "stone or metal,” "many pigeons,” "towers,” and "wild cats that roam the god-roads” help show readers that the city is now a wild place. Nature has taken over, reclaimed what was initially hers. Man is gone - his legacy is left behind as stones, concrete, metal, and roads. However, all of that is now inhabited by feral animals.
ANSWER: It is in fact C. They give the sense that nature has taken over a once-urban area.

To underscore the importance of advertising, the authors showed the beginnings of Post as well as the Kellogg breakfast cereals.
The point was that, these companies grew because of advertising and now hired thousand of people. If therefore, they hadn't advertised, they would not have grown the way they did to be able to take care of their employees who through salaries, are able to take over care of their daily life.

Read "Not by Math Alone,” by Sandra Day O’Connor and Roy Romer. In a well-organized essay, analyze the rhetorical strategies the writers use to achieve their purpose. Is their argument persuasive?
Answer:
The article "Not by Math Alone" written by Sandra Day O’Connor and Roy Romer explains how American schools are failing when talking and teaching about government and how the political system works.
First, the writers give statistics to prove that high school students do not know much about the political system and democracy and then they explain how important it is for the country to have citizens that are aware of politics and that are interested in democracy, whether their future careers are related to politics or not.
I believe their arguments are persuasive because they give statistics as proof and also because having citizens that know how their country work and how politics affects them is always a good thing.

Stranded
ReadWorks
It had been three days, and we were starting to feel helpless. We had already used most of our resources and knew that if anyone was to come and look for us, it would take them weeks to find us. It was a relief that Andrew was starting to feel better after being dehydrated. We were all happy to have started a fire so that we could now drink clean water. I decided it was time to start searching the island for food and resources. I knew I wasn’t the group leader, but I was going to take charge.
When I told Max that I would head out east toward the beaches, he said I was making a big mistake and that we all needed to stay together. I disagreed with him and told him that we eventually needed to search the island to see what we could use or if anyone else occupied this land that could help us call for rescue.
Jamie and Shannon went with me to search. We walked about three miles and started to hear a sound coming from a distance. We didn’t want to get much closer because we thought it would be better to get others to help us. So, we headed back and told the others. We agreed to return to the spot in the morning. That night, as I slept under the stars, I felt a sense of hope for the first time since being stranded.

So, Johnny takes out his knife and stabs Bob, the Soc who is trying to drown Ponyboy, killing him. Sky Sports presenters Andy Gray and Richard Keys have been accused of sexism
after making several comments about a female referee, called Sian Massey. They
commented on her understanding of the offside rule during a Premier League match. The
commentators believed their microphones were switched off but were actually recorded
making remarks such as:
'Somebody better get down there and explain offside to her.'
Can you believe that? A female linesman. Women don't know the offside rule.
What type of prejudice is shown?
Which line proves your claim?
Answer:
The prejudice shown is making a sexist remark against the female gender.
The line "Women don't know the offside rule" shows how sexist the comment is.
Explanation:
A sexist remark is when a person of one gender says something discriminatory about a person of another gender. This means that talking bad about the other based on her gender is known or taken as a sexist comment or discrimination based on one's gender.
In the given scenario of the sports presenters, their comment about Sian Massey's 'incapability' to be a referee, based on her being a woman is a sexist remark. They are making the claim that Sian was not worthy to be a referee for the game because of her gender and that women don't know anything about "offside rule" which is discriminatory in nature.
This claim can be supported by the very comment "Can you believe that? A female linesman. Women don't know the offside rule."
The prejudice here is that they though women cannot know the offside rule.
A female linesman. Women don't know the offside rule. This line prove the claim.

How reliable are first impressions? Why do most of us rely on them so much, even when we, ourselves, may not like being judged by them?
- Share a time you made a bad first impression on someone or a group of people
Answer:
Well, honestly I don't think that first impressions matter that much because someone may come as shy, but they could be the complete opposite. I mean that's more common nowadays. And maybe some people act completely different when they first meet someone or are nervous (ex. Going on dates).
- I remember when I met my best friend and I rhought that he was uncool because everyone joked with him and made fun of. I didn't want to hang out with him and I thought that it was better to hang out with the "cool kids" and not with some "loser". But, we were in the same class and we also went to after-school activities so I had no chance to not see him. As time went buy, I started to like him more and more and saw that he was actually a pretty nice and fun person to be around. We gradually grew closer and closer, and now we are best friends (I mean he has his group of friends and I have mine, but that doesnt play a big role). Now with the pandemic around, we still are close and call each other at leat once a day.
I don't know if this makes a lot of sense, but what I'm trying to say that first impressions don't matter today as much as they did in the past and we don't have to judge people on the first impression they make. We have to dig deeper so we can actually find the real side they are hiding or are shy to portray.
