The adaptations of the work have shallow themes and are limited to themes such as the creation revolt against the creator and the dangers of science. The book has many themes that are deep and well explored. The book shows the fascination and fear of humans in relation to science and technology, in addition to topics such as alienation, revenge, ambition, dangers of knowledge, abandonment, depression, life, death, among others.
